Paris Saint Germain have reopened their interest in Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.

The Ligue 1 giants had appeared to have given up in their pursuit of the Chilean - with Manchester City and Bayern Munich leading the charge.

They had been put off by Sanchez's incredible £265,000-a-week wages, according to L'Equipe .

But after being buffed by rivals Monaco for wonderkid striker Kylian Mbappe, PSG have decided to chase the Gunners man again.

The Parisians have reportedly already been in contact with the forward's agent in an attempt to quickly thrash out personal terms if they can agree a fee with the north London outfit.

Sanchez's Arsenal future has been in doubt all summer with his current contract up at the end of next season.

City appeared to be in pole position, should he leave Arsenal, after Bayern Munich officially pulled out of the race on Monday.

Sanchez is open to leaving the Emirates ahead of the new season as he wants to play Champions League football.

Sanchez told Radio Sport Chile: "I want to play in the Champions League. The decision isn't down to me, I need to wait for Arsenal."
