Jonny Evans is set to be offered a new deal by West Brom in a bid to stave off competition from Arsenal and Manchester City.

The Northern Irish centre-back was wanted by both of the Premier League giants over the summer as they looked for reinforcements.

But deals could not be agreed with West Brom wanting over £30million and Evans remained at the Hawthorns.

According to the Belfast Newsletter , the Baggies are planning to offer Evans a new contract in order to nail him down to the long term.

There are still two years running on Evans current deal.
