Arsenal are facing a battle with Atletico Madrid to sign Turkish wonderkid Abdulkadir Omur.

Trabzonspor ace Omur has starred in midfield for the Super Lig outfit after breaking through last season.

The 18-year-old has already created two goals in five outings this season, according to the Sun, to earn the attention of the Gunners and Diego Simeone

Omur has already taken the Turkey Under-19s by storm and netted once for Trabzonspor last year.

Arsene Wenger is thought to lead the queue and could open the bidding in January.

PSG have a plan to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal - and it involves selling Edinson Cavani

Paris Saint-Germain are plotting to bring in Alexis Sanchez next summer by offloading star striker Edinson Cavani , writes Mirror Football's Neil McLeman.

Along with Manchester City , the French club tried to sign the Arsenal striker in the last transfer window.

And Le Parisien , the Paris-based paper very close to the club, reports they will return next year with the Chilean out of contract at the Emirates Stadium.

But after breaking the world transfer record on Neymar and also agreeing a deal for Kylian Mbappe , PSG will need to sell to try and balance the books for Financial Fair Play.

Le Parisien claims the Qatari-owned club are ready to sell top scorer Cavani to finance the deal.

The Uruguayan scored 47 goals last season but had an on-pitch row with Neymar over taking a penalty against Lyon last month.

Alexandre Lacazette reveals he dreamed of being a goalkeeper as a child - but his mum wouldn't let him

He plays upfront for Arsenal and France, and so the whole football thing worked out alright for Alexandre Lacazette in the end, writes Mirror Football's Mark Jones.

But if he'd have had it the way he wanted, then things could have worked out very differently.

Because the forward - who has been on fire for Arsenal ever since joining the club from Lyon, and who is in the French squad for this week's World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Belarus - he revealed he wanted to have a career of stopping the ball going into the net, rather than putting it in there himself.

Then his mum stepped in.

"I did like playing in goal when I was young but my mum wasn’t very keen as she thought being a goalie was too dangerous," he said when on France duty.

"She said that I either played as a forward or not at all."
