Mark Noble said West Ham supporters had every right to show their anger at the team’s woeful start to the campaign.

“The atmosphere in the dressing-room isn’t great, but we’re lucky it’s early in the season,” said captain Noble, after they made it three defeats from three in the league with a 3-0 defeat away to a Newcastle side who had also lost their opening two games.

“We haven’t looked good. West Ham fans show their emotions; so they should. It’s down to us to make it right on the pitch.”

Boss Slaven Bilic added: “It’s worrying, but it doesn’t have to be that every time we make a mistake it turns into a goal.”

And Bilic's troubles deepened as Robert Snodgrass took a swipe at him following his season-long loan move to Championship giants Aston Villa.

Scotland international midfielder Snodgrass joined the Hammers from Hull in January for £10.2million — but the move turned into a disaster and he blames that on the way Bilic utilised him.

“I play off the right or behind the striker. I have done that and scored and created goals everywhere I’ve been," he said.

“I went to West Ham and I had a manager who played me out of position.

"He wanted me to replace Dimitri Payet, but I couldn’t have made it any clearer that’s not my position.”
