Nathan Dyer has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign after rupturing his Achilles tendon.

The Swansea winger was forced off after just seven minutes during Sunday's 2-0 win over relegation rivals Leicester.

Dyer underwent a scan on Monday as Swansea's worst fears were confirmed.

The 29-year-old is now set to undergo surgery in a bid to be back for the start of next season.

Dyer, who won the Premier League title with Leicester last term, has been used regularly by new boss Paul Clement.

Sunday's 2-0 victory saw the Swans climb away from the relegation zone.

Clement's men are now 15th in the Premier League, four points clear of the drop zone.

Their next clash is against leaders Chelsea on February 25.
