Martin Keown has perfectly summed up the thoughts of most Arsenal fans with his latest comments on Jack Wilshere.
The former Gunners centre-back heaped praise on the midfielder's performance in Arsenal's 6-0 win over BATE Borisov on Thursday.
Wilshere, who has been a bit-part player for the north London side over the past few seasons, played the full 90 minutes of the Europa League clash.
The Englishman put in a man of the match performance, and even got on the scoresheet - his first since 2015 - netting Arsenal's third moments before the break.
Discussing Wilshere after the game, Keown told BT Sport 2: "I'm a big admirer of his. I know it's not great opposition [BATE] but look at his vision.
"He's the one player in this group who can break into that A team, so to speak. It's the driving runs from midfield.
"He's convincing me now that he's fitter now than he has been. He's got everything in the locker. The movement, the deft touches.
"Wilshere said he was doing his best to give boss Wenger reason to start him in the Premier League.
"All we can do when we get the opportunity is show what we can do. We have to support the boys because at the end of the day we're all Arsenal".
Wilshere has yet to make a Premier League start for Arsenal this season, but has come off the bench in wins over Everton, Burnley and Huddersfield.
