Jamie Carragher couldn't help but poke fun at Manchester United's Class of 92 after Phil Neville posted a picture of his former teammates on Instagram.

The Liverpool legend, who is never too far away from some social media mischief, spotted the photograph showing David Beckham, Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and co. late last night.

Posting alongside the image, Carragher wrote: "Salford & the class of 92 trying to blag more money off Peter Lim!"

Peter Lim owns a 50 per cent stake in Salford FC with the above mentioned ex-footballers minus Beckham, but including Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt, holding the other 50 per cent.

The post is clearly intended to be a joke, but it seems Carragher has rustled more than a few feathers in Manchester.

One United fan, also commenting alongside the picture, wrote: "Yes Carra, You're jealous Phil has friends and you don't. Admit it."

While another added: "Meanwhile your [sic] wiping down all those premier league title winners medals..."

And a third concluded: "Carragher your a loser from a losing team. Pipe it you loser." Charming, eh!?
