Gabriel Jesus says his move to Manchester City has been the making of him as a player.

Striker Jesus , who scored twice in Brazil’s 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Chile this week, is set to lead City’s attack against Stoke on Saturday as Sergio Aguero makes his way back from a rib injury.

And the 20-year-old reckons he has become an even better player in just 10 months at City, following his £27million switch from Brazilian side Palmeiras last season.

“I’m evolving, not only as a professional, but also in the head, in the mind,” he said.

“I’m evolving more than last year, with many experiences in the national team and in Europe - this is doing me good.

“I will continue doing what I have always done, whether in Manchester or in the national team.

“I’m very happy about what I’ve been showing everyone, but I know I have to keep working, running, showing that I should be selected.”

Jesus has 12 goals in 20 games for City, including five this term, but has not scored on his last three appearances for the Blues, his longest drought since joining Pep Guardiola’s side.
