Manchester City fans used their win over Newcastle to mock rivals United.

City secured their 18th win on the spin on Wednesday as a Raheem Sterling strike saw off Rafa Benitez's side.

They now lead United by 15 points at the top of the Premier League, following their 2-2 draw with Burnley.

And City fans couldn't resist the opportunity to have a pop at Jose Mourinho and co, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The away faithful chanted: "Mind the gap, mind the gap, Man United. Mind the gap, mind the gap, I say. Mind the gap, mind the gap, Man United. Getting bigger every **** day."

The chant is sung to the same tune as the 'Park the bus' chant the City fans were heard singing at the 2-1 derby win at Old Trafford earlier this month.

The fans took aim at Jose Mourinho's negative defensive tactics with their chant and the players found it so hilarious they decided to join in on the action too.

A video posted by Benjamin Mendy's friend on Instagram after the 4-1 win against Spurs showed the players chanting 'park the bus, park the bus, Man United.'

With the gap so big at the top of the table City need just 13 wins out of the remaining 18 games to take the Premier League trophy back to the Etihad.
