Jurgen Klopp says he has no problem pitching Philippe Coutinho straight back into Premier League action against Burnley on Saturday.

The Brazilian made his first appearance of the season in the 2-2 Champions League draw with Sevilla in midweek, handed a warm welcome by the Anfield crowd.

And Klopp confirmed he is fit to face Burnley on Saturday, as he prepares to re-jig his Liverpool side in the absence of Sadio Mane.

"You can build up, you can get minutes when you start," explained Klopp, speaking at his press conference on Friday.

"It’s not the moment I talk about the line up, but he should be ready.

“I was really happy with how the crowd welcomed him. For him it was good. He has trained outstanding since he’s back. The game was not perfect of course, but that’s how it is after a long break. It helped him and helped us.

"For sure, we’re ready to think about him [playing against Burnley].”

The Reds are without Mane, last season's player of the year, following his red card at Manchester City in last weekend's 5-0 drubbing.

Liverpool's win percentage has dropped substantially when the Senegalese forward has been unavailable since his arrival at the club, but Klopp is relaxed about having to go without him on Saturday.

"We knew there would be moments when Sadio wouldn’t play or should not play," explained Klopp. "That’s why we built the squad.

"We have options. Roberto, Philippe can play there of course and Alex can play there. We can change the system. We can do a lot of things."

Klopp confirmed Simon Mignolet is his No.1 goalkeeper and will return to the starting lineup for the clash with the Clarets.

“As I said, we need strong goalkeepers. We have young keepers at the best age and they are all ready to play. And we have to use this situation for the good of the club.

“They have to take that. I did it and they must take it. [But] Simon Mignolet is No.1."

Klopp also revealed his admiration for the work of Sean Dyche.

“What I really like is what Sean Dyche is doing there. They have a clear plan. You see it in every game.

“They don’t take one step left or one step right. They stick to the plan. It’s good that everyone knows they had two away games and took four points.

“it’s not an easy game for us and that’s something I’ve got to consider."

Adam Lallana is set to return to light training early next week, while Danny Ings is back in full training and should soon come into the first-team reckoning.
