Jose Mourinho has named the three players Manchester United should have never sold prior to his takeover at the club.
Speaking to Gary Lineker on the BBC, the Portuguese discussed his short tenure in charge of the Old Trafford outfit.
In the interview, he suggested his job was made harder than it should have been prior to him taking over from Louis van Gaal in May 2016.
And bemoaned the club's decision to sell its star strikers.
"Manchester United sold players that I would never sell, and bought players I would never buy," said Mourinho.
"I would have never sold [Angel] di Maria, Chicharito [Javier Hernandez], Danny Welbeck, never, no chance."
Welbeck, who fell out of favour under van Gaal, left Man United for Premier League rivals Arsenal in 2014 for a fee of around £15million.
Hernandez left the club a year later for Bayer Leverkusen after going on loan to Real Madrid for a season.
While di Maria, who stunned Barcelona in PSG's Champions League last-16 win in February, also left the club in 2015 to join the French giants.
