Furious Jose Mourinho claimed there is a conspiracy against him as Manchester United's top-four hopes suffered a major setback.

Mourinho made it clear he feels there is a deliberate campaign from referees and officials against him and claimed he is treated more harshly than other Premier League managers.

The United boss took a swipe at Jurgen Klopp and Arsene Wenger, accusing officials of going easy on the Liverpool and Arsenal bosses, while being harder on him.

Mourinho launched into the furious rant after this stalemate left his side four points off fourth place and facing a huge battle to return to the Champions League.

“You know clearly that I'm different,” said Mourinho. “I'm different. The rules for me are different.

“I'm different in everything, I watch my team play in a hotel, I was forbidden to go to the stadium, my assistant had a six-match stadium ban and he didn’t touch anyone.

“Yesterday one fourth official told a manager 'I enjoy very much your passion, so do what you want to do'.

“Today I was told sit down or I have to send you to the stands, so everything is different for me, so don’t ask me questions that put me in a difficult situation.”

Mourinho had earlier stormed out of a TV interview, berating the reporter by saying “if you don't know football, you shouldn't have a microphone in your hand”.

The United boss was angry with the perceived leniency with which match referee Jones treated Hull, the inference from Mourinho being he was more favourable towards them.

“I’m not happy,” said Mourinho. “I won’t criticise the opponents, because they're fighting for their lives. Every point for them is gold.

“They tried to see what they were allowed to do. The referee gave the feedback. And then they were comfortable doing what they did for 90 minutes.

“I don’t want to speak more about refereeing decisions because if I speak, I'm punished and I don't want to be punished.

“If you go game after game with Manchester United and you see what happened here with Manchester City, what happened here with Burnley, what happened here with West Ham, what happened at Stoke, what happened almost everywhere.”

Hull's point lifted them off the bottom of the table and gave them fresh hope in their ongoing battle to beat the drop.
