Paris Saint-Germain are going to rival Arsenal for the signing of Jean Michael Seri, according to reports.

The Nice midfielder had appeared set for a move in the summer, with Barcelona the club most heavily linked.

But the deals collapsed and he remains on the market.

The Sun report that Arsenal will now make a move for Seri in the near future - but they face competition from PSG, who are hoping to bolster their midfield.

But he appears tempted by the PSG switch: "If I leave Nice, it will be for a team where I feel desired and who play good football.

"Paris has this philosophy, to which I am very attached. So why not?"

Mesut Ozil to Manchester United is a "shoo-in", according to Arsenal legend Ian Wright.

United boss Jose Mourinho is keen on the Arsenal midfielder who is also a target for Barcelona as he is out of contract in the summer.

Mirror Sport revealed United’s interest in Ozil and he is also free to sign a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona from January 1.

Wright told the BBC: “Mesut Ozil on a free to Manchester United on a free looks a shoo-in. I’m sure Jose would love to do that.

“That would frighten me to death. He is a great talent and having great players around him would lift him up as well.

“I’m sure him and his agent would not push it this far if they were going to sign (for Arsenal)."

Signing on fee demanded for Barca move

Mesut Ozil will demand a sizable signing on bonus from Barcelona if he is to move in January, according to reports in Spain.

Ozil could quit Arsenal when the transfer window reopens, with just six months remaining on his current deal at the Emirates.

As it stands, there appears to be little progression in contract talks to keep him in the Premier League.

But if he is to walk away from Arsenal in January, he will reportedly demand an additional bumper sum to help sweeten the deal.

Diario Gol claim that Barcelona have already contacted Arsenal and the player's representatives to assess the possibility of the move being completed this winter.
