Arsenal fans have hit out at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after pictures emerged showing the winger dressed in full Liverpool kit.

The England international agreed a £40million move to Anfield, leaving Chelsea - who missed out on signing him - furious.

But it seems Gunners fans are equally as angry at the prospect of losing the 24-year-old to a Premier League rival on transfer deadline day.

While Reds fans took to commenting on the picture positively, Arsenal fans took it in turns posting the snake and crying face emoji.

Arsenal were initially reluctant to sell to their Anfield rivals because of bad blood between the clubs dating back to the Luis Suarez fiasco in 2013.

But they were left with little choice after deciding to sell the winger, who refused to pen a new contract with the north London club when he snubbed Chelsea.

Oxlade-Chamberlain had a medical at St George's Park on Wednesday night, and is set to sign a six-year deal at Liverpool.

He is hoping to play in the middle of the park for the Anfield giants, his reason for turning down a move to Chelsea who wanted to play him as a wing-back.
