Pedro has plunged Chelsea into an injury crisis before their opening day clash with Burnley.
The Spain winger has got an ankle problem and misses out to leave Antonio Conte scratching around for players with Eden Hazard and Tiemoue Bakayoko already out.
It means Alvaro Morata could start wide with Antonio Rudiger set for a full debut in a reshuffled defence with Victor Moses suspended.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte said: "Pedro is not available tomorrow because he's suffering from an injury, during the Arsenal game. He wasn't able to recover from this injury. A knock in his ankle.
"(Rudiger) Yes, could be. The reason Moses will miss for one game. Could be an opportunity to start the game for Rudiger."
