Alexis Sanchez celebrated starring in Arsenal's 1-0 Carabao Cup victory over Doncaster with a romantic dinner with actress girlfriend Mayte Rodriguez.
The Chile international returned to the Gunners' starting lineup after being benched for the goalless draw at Chelsea on Sunday, and set up the winning goal for Theo Walcott to remind boss Arsene Wenger what he brings to the side despite wanting to leave the Emirates.
His life on the pitch may have been tumultuous of late, with a failed move to Manchester City throwing a cloud over the start of the season.
But off it he looks much more settled with his relatively new flame, as shown in these images shared by Mayte on Instagram.
There had been recent rumours suggesting the pair's fledgling relationship was on the rocks, but the most recent posts show that they are still very much going strong.
One of 28-year-old actress's latest stories on the social media site also suggested the Chilean couple are more than happy together.
Mayte captioned one smiling image with the message "Si se rien la cosa es seria", which directly translates to "If one laughs, the thing is serious."
Sanchez stayed at Arsenal this summer despite strong interest from Premier League rivals City, with a move almost happening on deadline day when it looked like the two clubs had agreed a deal to take the forward to Etihad.
His future is still unclear though with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
