Manchester United recorded another victory on their pre-season tour by defeating Real Madrid on penalties.

Jesse Lingard gave them the lead in the first half after sublime work from Anthony Martial, tapping home from close range from the Frenchman's pull-back.

Victor Lindelof brought down Theo Hernandez in the second half to give Real a route back into the game, with Casemiro converting from the spot.

But it was United who prevailed 2-1 on penalties in a shootout of poor quality, with Casemiro hitting the bar with Real's fifth kick to seal the deal.
