Nick Pope 7

Hardly troubled in the first half, but had more to do after the break, saving well from Lacazette and claiming high balls with ease.

Matt Lowton 7

Tough task with Sanchez regularly drifting out to the left hand side, but the full-back didn’t give him an inch.

James Tarkowski 6

One excellent tackle on Sanchez in the box in the first half. Minimal contact for penalty, but Ramsey had got the wrong side of him.

Ben Mee 8

Wasn’t to be outdone on the blocks front and through himself at a Kolasinac shot early in the second half.

Stephen Ward 7

Tried to get forward when Brady drifted inside. Set up good chance for Brady in the second half.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson 8 (Man of the Match)

Started really brightly, drifting inside to allow Lowton to overlap. Took up some clever positions and delivered a couple of teasing crosses. Lovely faint to beat Monreal before his shot hit the post.

Jack Cork 6

Turned into trouble a couple of times in the second half as Arsenal sought to push Burnley back. Not his best game.

Steven Defour 7

Composed on the ball and saw plenty of it in the first half when Burnley were on the front foot. Quieter second half. Booked for dissent.

Robbie Brady 8

Tenacious on the left, winning the ball back high up the field and regularly involved in Burnley’s attacks.

Jeff Hendrick 7

Pressed well to try and win the ball back high up the pitch and showed some nice touches to try and link up play.

Ashley Barnes 7

Troubled Arsenal’s three-man defence, in particular Laurent Koscielny who he enjoyed a good battle with.
