Sing Throstles, sing! Albion fans (well, most of 'em) were a little chirpier this morning after their team demolished a dreadfully disappointing Hammers side at the Hawthors yesterday. Here's the best/worst from the Bagggies in this week's OV....

"Well played West Brom. I feared the worst before the game. Chadli was superb, as was Rondon - loved his square ball to Chadli for the fourth. It looks like they've got quite a good understanding. Foster had an outstanding game too. Payet for West Ham was impressive though, a constant danger. I just hope we can keep this confidence going."

"A great game of football. West Ham had lots of the ball but didn't break us down. At 4-0 we was comfortable but invited the pressure on us. We have missed a player that attacks the box from midfield and Chadli looks like he will do that. a happy Baggie this evening."

"I understand Pulis has his way, but I don't understand why we can't hold the ball and make the opposition work. Fine, he doesn't want to counter attack, but we invite too much pressure at times and if they had nicked a third today I suspect they would have got the equaliser as well. In saying that, we were clinical with our chances for 50 minutes. As for booing, I did not hear it but it comes back to the same discussion as always. What sort of person boos their own players [Robson-Kanu]? A fantastic (and very important) win by the lads. Every point we can accumulate between now and the New Year window is crucial as we try to get to 20 points by Christmas and get some players in."

"I know what I heard and it wasn't 'Kanu'. And the fact I called four or five people out for it sat around me, who retaliated by spouting off about having 'a right to boo' as they buggered off home early, tells you all you need to know. It was by no means a majority, but we have some dreadful fans. Hey at least they turn up to games still, eh?"

"Credit where it's due. Pulis did the right thing playing Chadli behind Rondon as well as bringing McClean in to help Galloway out. He also did the right thing to take the youngster off in the second half when he did. Disappointed with the goals we conceded and how deep we dropped, but I think that may be more psychological than anything, I feel pure relief to get the win though."

"The big difference was the personnel today and formation. We had two wide players in McClean and Phillips who worked incredibly hard, gave us width and attacked their full-backs when we countered. Maybe even more crucial was playing Chadli in the middle as the number 10. His link up play with Rondon was terrific and he has an eye for a pass, skill and strength on the ball. He can also score goals. The guy is class. Also thought Pulis got the substitutions and their timing right. All in all, a very encouraging performance and you can start to see the jigsaw coming together when you put the pieces in the right places."

"On the one hand you couldn't but admire the quality of Chadli but we got him on the ball nowhere near enough. All the faults were still very much evident but were trumped by West Ham's inability to defend. Good to see Morrison come on and as others have said, Kanu-Robson looked lively in his brief cameo."

"We were effective, but on the ball we were truly awful. 29 per cent possession at home to West Ham, eight shots to their 23. We scored by being clinical, eight shots and we nailed four of them. The first goal was an utter gift, the second a lucky ricochet, the third our usual set piece and the fourth from them literally having ten men in our area and no one on the halfway line. I was delighted with the win, but I am not blind enough to pretend that our failings aren't there. Any other day against a side who could defend and we would not have won. Not sure if we hadn't been gifted the penalty to get us rolling we would have scored four."

"I thought we were pretty good today. Despite their last couple of results West Ham are no mugs. They put a couple of moves together that completely unlocked us and were unlucky not to score from them. For me the missing piece was in place today - Chadli. Playing in that 10 position is not something we have had over recent times, I thought he was very good. We all know that this is only one result but we are 8th in the table and having a bit of a smile to ourselves about the 'next level' clubs like Stoke etc. Lets just enjoy the moment - there is a lot of work still to do."

"We were very effective against a very poor West Ham side - I don't think I've seen a side defend so poorly for a while. McClean had a good game and provided us with some good width - previous games we've been far too stifled in the middle. There is plenty to work on but yesterday, probably for the first time since we dicked West Ham 4-0 under Pulis, I actually enjoyed watching us play and went home with a smile on my face."

"For all the stick Pulis gets, it's only fair he gets praise when it's due as well. We had a positive line-up and played positively, thats probably a combination of having better players available to him and unleashing the handbrake! I'm not massively bothered about stats, West Ham had lots of possession but mainly went side to side. Next few games we will see what's what but the most important is that we won, Secondly, it was positive and entertaining, those two things are what i hope for from every game."
