Pep Guardiola's summer clear-out at Manchester City gathered pace yesterday as Willy Caballero, Jesús Navas and Bacary Sagna joined Pablo Zabaleta and Gaël Clichy in leaving the club.

The City manager is also ready to offload Joe Hart, Eliaquim Mangala, Samir Nasri and Wilfried Bony, all of whom spent last season out on loan, as he lays the groundwork for a revolution at the club that is likely to mean up to seven new arrivals.

City will also listen to offers for midfielder Fernando and forwards Nolito and Kelechi Iheanacho with around a dozen departures expected while Guardiola's determination to retain Nicolás Otamendi may be tested with several Spanish clubs interested in the centre-half. Guardiola wants to sign Juventus centre-half Leonardo Bonucci as well as Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker.
