Romelu Lukaku sounds the United rallying cry as his stunning form continues in Moscow

Romelu Lukaku sent out a defiant message after his latest two-goal salvo fired Manchester United to a 4-1 win against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.
Lukaku took his stunning tally of goals to ten in just eight competitive appearances for United as his sparkling form continued in the Russian capital, with additional strikes from Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitaryan propelling United towards the Champions League knock-out stages.
Yet it seems the in-form Lukaku is already looking towards the latter stages of the competition, as he offered up a bullish post match interview to BT Sport when asked how many goals he might score this season.
“I just want to win trophies,” he stated. “I just work hard and will keep on going, the team is doing well but we must improve.”
United manager Jose Mourinho was in upbeat mood after his side’s latest win, as he suggested they are on their way to sealing a place in the last-16 of the competition as reserved special praise for Lukaku.
“Lukaku has a great record, we know he is a very good player who can score lots of goals,” said the United boss. “He is surrounded by quality players. I have to admit that he is scoring really important games nearly every game.
“We are in a good position with four matches to play. We started so strong, we surprised them with out attitude. They didn't look as good as they are because of us,” he declared.
“We are almost there. There was not so much PlayStation football tonight, just a little bit of relaxation. That is normal.”
Meanwhile, BT Sport pundit and former United striker Michael Owen set Lukaku a lavish goal target for the season, as he suggested it was easy to score goals in this United team.
“I’d be surprised if he didn’t hit the 30 goal mark in all competitions this seasons,” declated Owen. “Past seasons suggest he is not injury prone and if he stays fit he will score goals in this season because they create plenty of chances. There is no stopping him.
“I don’t think his movement is unbelievable in the box, but when you’re bigger and stronger than everyone else and you can get your arm across a shoulder like this and just almost pin your defender down, it’s not a foul, that’s football.
“When you do that you don’t need to be nipping in front of defenders with your power and strength.”
