Bayern Munich hint they will not enter the bidding for Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez

The German champions have been strongly linked with a move to sign Sanchez for several months, with the Chilean appearing to be keen to make the move to Munich as he enters the final year of his current contract with the Gunners.

Arsenal will demand a fee in excess of £50m for Sanchez and his advisers are also believed to be demanding wages in excess of £200,000, with Hoeness suggesting that will rule Bayern out of a deal.

“The salaries being talked about up front of over €20 million (a year) are an amount that definitely isn’t feasible for FC Bayern,” the Bayern chief told Bill.

Manchester City are also being strongly linked with a move to Sanchez, with City manager Pep Guardiola a bid admirer of the forward he worked with during his time as Barcelona manager.

Yet Arsenal are believed to be keen to avoid selling Sanchez to a domestic rival and would prefer a sale to an European club if terms can be agreed.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted he is in no rush to sell Sanchez and will keep him at the club for the final year of his contract even if he refuses to sign a new deal.

However, Wenger had made that stance in public as several of his star names have run down their contracts, with the club forced to sell to avoid the prospect of star players walking away on free transfers.
