St Pat's may have to continue their battle to avoid relegation without goalkeeper Conor O'Malley, who is poised for a move to Peterborough.
If O'Malley, outstanding all season, completes the move, the experienced Barry Murphy will become Saints' number one.
At the Showgrounds yesterday Kurtis Byrne scored a cracker to give St Pat's a deserved point from their visit to the Bit O'Red.
Sligo manager Gerard Lyttle revealed that he was forced to make two early substitutions because of a bug in the squad.
"Daniel Kearns was feeling light-headed. He said he was okay, but then we had to take him off because it got worse during the game," said Lyttle.
"Greg (Moorhouse) got the bang in the head, but he was complaining of a stomach ache at half-time as well."
Centre-back Kyle Callan-McFadden scored his first goal for the club with a header on 32 minutes, but Pat's were well worth a point, having twice been denied by the crossbar before Byrne produced his stunning strike on 71 minutes.
