Howard agrees new contract at Everton
Tim Howard yesterday signed a new contract which will keep him at Goodison Park until 2016. The United States goalkeeper has been first choice under David Moyes since arriving from Manchester United in 2006. The 33-year-old has made 256 appearances for the club.
Howard said: "I've had a smile on my face ever since we finalised the deal. When you have a good relationship and both sides are eager to keep that going, it's a no-brainer. This has not been a knockdown, drawn-out type of negotiation with meetings or anything like that.
"They were very happy to keep me and I was very happy to stay. It's a place that is home for me."
