Tottenham have completed the signing of Ezekiel Fryers from Standard Liege.

The former Manchester United youngster trained with Tottenham during the summer after leaving Old Trafford but with concerns over a £6m compensation package, a permanent deal never materialised.

Instead, Fryers joined Liege but after making seven first team appearances for the Belgian side, the 20-year-old has returned to the Premier League in a deal reportedly worth £3m.

The left-back, who claims he turned down a three-year contract to remain at Manchester United, will go into the club's development squad and act as cover for Benoit Assou-Ekotto.
