Mauricio Pochettino has selected his team for Tottenham's Champions League showdown with Real Madrid

Spurs star Harry Kane was a serious injury doubt going into the group stage encounter having sat out Saturday's defeat to Manchester United.

The England international was pictured arriving at Wembley with the rest of his team-mates for the Real clash though.

And Pochettino has opted to start Kane up front, with Dele Alli returning from his Champions League suspension to play just off him.

Tottenham skipper Hugo Lloris retains his place in goal and will be hoping to replicate the impressive performance he delivered at the Bernabeu two weeks ago.

Kieran Tripper comes in for Serge Aurier on the right-hand side of defence, with Ben Davies operating on the opposite flank once again.

Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen make up the back three looking to frustrate Zinedine Zidane's all-star side.
