Zlatan Ibrahimovic has to give all his earnings to Mino Raiola, the agent has joked

Zlatan Ibrahimovic took the Premier League by storm last season and was Manchester United’s stand-out player before injury struck.

A serious knee problem looked to have put paid to his Red Devils career but he has since battled back and signed a new one-year year deal at Old Trafford.

The Swede is expected to return ahead of schedule and is likely to feature for Jose Mourinho’s side before the New Year.

And the 36-year-old’s agent Mino Raiola is not surprised and has claimed Ibrahimovic will play for at least five more years, joking that he will give all his earnings to him.

"He has so much in him," Raiola told Swedish newspaper Expressen.

"I think minimum another five or six years. I won't let him stop, he has to work for me now.

"I have been working for him for several years, now it's my turn. My children are grown up and I need money.

"We have agreed that he is only working for me for five years now. So we're flipping it now. The salary comes to me and he gets the commission.”

United have not set a return date for Ibrahimovic but Raiola is confident he is in great shape, claiming the striker is something of a medical phenomenon.

"Yes, they want to [study his knee], Dr Freddie Fu says so," Raiola added.

"He says he has never seen such a strong and pure knee after such a long career as Zlatan has. Imagine all the bangs.

"This is a professor who takes care of athletes from all over the world and works with American football teams. He says he has never seen anything like it in 40 years.

“It's the best knee he has ever seen. This damage would be Himalayan to many, but to Zlatan it's a small hill. He will be back soon."
