Kane transfer battle

21.10: Manchester United will block any attempt by Real Madrid to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish outlet Don Balon claim the 24-year-old is one of Real president Florentino Perez’s top targets as he looks to replace Karim Benzema.

But United will reportedly not let Real have a clear shot at the striker and will challenge them for his signature this summer.

The report says they are willing to pay around £170million to prevent him making the move to Spain.

Pellegri's the new Zlatan

17.35: Manchester United target Pietro Pellegri has been likened to Zlatan Ibrahimovic by his agent Giuseppe Riso.

“We are talking about a very powerful striker,” Riso told French outlet FooptMercato.

“Let’s just say he has the characteristics of a young Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“He’s not just a revelation in Italy, but one of the best young European players. Don’t forget, at the age of 16, he bagged a brace against Lazio.

“It’s not surprising he has been linked with PSG, as many big European clubs are tracking him.”

Coutinho January exit likely

14.55: Liverpool should have sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in the summer, according to Reds legend Mark Lawrenson.

Lawrenson also thinks it is highly possible Coutinho will complete his dream move to the Nou Camp in January.

“I would have sold him in the summer,” Lawrenson told AskFans.

“I just think if you are getting £120 million for a footballer, you take it because he could fall over tomorrow.

"I think he'll go possibly in January."

Barca could go for Griezmann

13.05: Barcelona may look to sign Atletico Madrid frontman Antoine Griezmann next summer instead of Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho, according to Guillem Balague.

“It’s quite clear that Barcelona do feel they need a strong midfielder in the Verratti mould, and a strong player like Coutinh,” Balague said on Sky Sports.

“Remember though, it may not be Coutinho.

“They have money as well to get Griezmann, which is another target for next season.”

Newcastle DONE DEAL

11:15: Newcastle United have exercised an option to buy Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino, converting his loan move into a permanent transfer with immediate effect.

The 21-year-old, who initially joined the Magpies on loan from Borussia Dortmund in July, has now committed his future to United, penning a five-year deal which will keep him at St. James’ Park until 2022.

Pulisic to Real on hold

10:15: Real Madrid are unlikely to sign Christian Pulisic in the near future, but the player has not ruled out a move to Spain.

German newspaper Sport Bid claim Real are keeping Pulisic on their radar.

The player’s own father recently said in an interview that Pulisic “has bigger plans, Barca or Real.”

But Sport Bild claim a switch to the Bernabeu is not likely at this time.

Alonso wants Spain return

10:10: Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso says he wants to play in Spain before he retires.

The left-wing back has revealed that despite being happy in England, he would like to play in Spain before the end of his career.

"I'm very happy at Chelsea but I would like to return to play in Spain one day," he told Spanish outlet Cadena Ser.

"Obviously, before I retire I would like to play in La Liga because I haven't played much there.

"But I'm very happy in London. All I think about is Saturday's game against Crystal Palace.”

Tim Sherwood: Spurs cannot lose Danny Rose

United to bid for Rose

10.00: Manchester United are reportedly ready to intensify their interest in Tottenham star Danny Rose by readying a £50million bid.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to United as well as Chelsea, with both keen to significantly strengthen in that department.

And The Sun claim United are preparing a £50m move in January, as they seek to make a statement signing.

The report explains Rose has been left out of Tottenham’s official 2018 calendar, which could indicate a transfer may be on the cards.

Sanchez decision in January

9.55: Arsenal are likely to make a decision on Alexis Sanchez’s future in January.

According to the Daily Mirror, City want to capture Sanchez for a cut-price fee in January

The report suggests his value could plummet to £20m, as he will only have six months left on his contract then.

Alexis Sanchez was the subject of a £60million bid from Manchester City over the summer, but the move broke down on deadline day.
