Real Madrid News: Ronaldo wants De Gea, Courtois or Ter Stegen to replace Navas

REAL MADRID star Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants the La Liga giants to sign David De Gea, Thibaut Courtois or Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

David De Gea: It's a dream to play for Manchester United

Real Madrid have endured a rocky start to the new season, winning the Spanish and European Super Cups but struggling when it comes to the league.

Zinedine Zidane’s side claimed a first league title since 2012 last season but, seven games in, sit seven points behind fierce rivals Barcelona at the summit.

Their inconsistencies has led to speculation they could be about to embark on a spending spree at the end of the campaign, with goalkeeper Keylor Navas likely to be replaced with a bigger name.

And Spanish outlet Diario Gol say Cristiano Ronaldo wants a world-class goalkeeper to arrive - and has three big players in mind.

It is said that among them are Premier League shotstoppers De Gea and Courtois.

Both are widely regarded as two of the best goalkeepers in world football, having flourished at Manchester United and Chelsea respectively.

Real’s interest in De Gea dates back to 2015 when, had it not been for a faulty fax machine, the goalkeeper would have returned to Spain.

Courtois, meanwhile, has also been linked with the Belgium international yet to sign a new Chelsea contract.

Diario Gol say Ronaldo would also love the La Liga giants to sign Ter Stegen.

Up until a year ago, questions were being asked about the German who had struggled to become Barcelona’s No1.

But the departure of Claudio Bravo game him a new lease of life and Ter Stegen has blossomed at the Nou Camp ever since.

Additionally, another name on Ronaldo’s wishlist is Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak.

The Slovenia international has kept a stunning 50 clean sheets during his time at the club, conceding just 49 goals.

Atletico are unlikely to let him go willingly - especially to their fiercest rivals.

But they will have no choice but to see him depart should Real meet his £87million release clause.
