The England international only has 18 months left on his current contract and the Gunners are yet to hand him a new deal.

Theo Walcott has struggled to nail down a starting spot at the Emirates this season and has been criticised for some of his displays.

Walcott is confident he can prove his doubters wrong, already scoring goals against Doncaster in the EFL Cup and BATE Borisov in the Europa League.

But according to the Gambling Times, Arsenal are ready to cash in on him when the transfer window reopens if he can’t prove himself to be a first-team regular under Arsene Wenger.

And the report claims Walcott will not be short of offers if Arsenal decide to call time on his 11-year spell in north London.

They state West Ham, Everton and Crystal Palace would all be interested in making moves for the 28-year-old.

Southampton are also mentioned and could be tempted to secure his return to St Mary’s after selling him to the Gunners in 2006.

While Walcott wants to stay and fight for his future he is well aware of the need for regular game time if he wants to make the Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup next summer.

And with the former Southampton player yet to start a league game for the Gunners this season he will have to consider his future in the New Year.
