Man Utd news: Romelu Lukaku potentially OUT of Crystal Palace clash

MANCHESTER UNITED could be without Romelu Lukaku for this afternoon's clash with Crystal Palace through injury.

Mourinho recently revealed he cannot give a breather to Lukaku until Zlatan Ibrahimovic returns from injury but it seems he could be set for one today.

Lukaku is due to play his 12th match of the season for club and country when he comes up against the Eagles (3pm).

But the Belgian has reportedly picked up a knock and is now a doubt for the match.

ESPN reporter Rob Dawson claims Lukaku will undergo a fitness test today.

“Chance Lukaku may not play today. Has apparently picked up a knock and will have a fitness test today,” Dawson tweeted.

“Not definitely out, but a doubt.”

News of Lukaku's potential injury will be a huge concern for Mourinho if he has to miss the match.

The 24-year-old is in sensational form for the Red Devils, having scored six goals in his last five matches in all competitions for the club.

And against bottom-side Crystal Palace, who are yet to score or keep a clean sheet this season, Lukaku would have the chance to add to his tally.

United currently sit second in the table, level on points with rivals Manchester City.

However, Mourinho's men are four strikes behind on goal difference after City put five past Palace last weekend.
