Man Utd news: CSKA Moscow will unsettle Red Devils without Pogba and Fellaini - Nicholas

MANCHESTER UNITED will struggle to cope with the aggressive nature of CSKA Moscow without Paul Pogba and Fellaini.

Pogba ignores hamstring injury to dance around dressing room

That is the view of former Arsenal forward-turned-pundit Charlie Nicholas.

Manchester United opened up their Champions League campaign in fine style with a 3-0 win over Basel at Old Trafford.

But will be without Pogba and Fellaini for their clash against CSKA Moscow, who themselves won their opening-day game against Benfica.

The duo have both been ruled out due to injury, with Fellaini being the latest casualty after he picked up a knock in United’s hard-fought 1-0 win over Southampton at St Mary’s.

And Nicholas reckons their absence could make life difficult for tonight (7:45pm).

“This is another dangerous trip, especially as United were probably as poor as they've been this season at Southampton,” Nicholas told Sky Sports

“I do still think you can get at them and I think Jose Mourinho might make two or three changes to give them a bit more control.

“The Premier League table suggests they've been strolling along more comfortably than they have and the late goals have flattered them somewhat.

I think CSKA will be very aggressive and, while United can look after themselves, it will unsettle their rhythm and it might take a while for them to get going, especially without Paul Pogba or Marouane Fellaini

“I think CSKA will be very aggressive and, while United can look after themselves, it will unsettle their rhythm and it might take a while for them to get going, especially without Paul Pogba or Marouane Fellaini.”

But despite their current injury crisis, CSKA boss Viktor Goncharenko reckons United have their strongest team since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

He said: “After Alex Ferguson's legacy, this current version of Manchester United is without any doubt the strongest team.”
