Chelsea Arsenal: Arsene Wenger to make several changes from Liverpool loss - Le Tissier

ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger will make several changes from the team that lost 4-0 to Liverpool when his side visit Chelsea today.

Gus Poyet: Chelsea are stronger than Arsenal

That is the opinion of pundit and Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier.

Chelsea are the second of the so-called ‘big six’ that Arsenal have faced this season, both away from home.

Last month Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool wiped the floor with the Gunners in an all too-familiar away performance from Wenger’s side.

Le Tissier says Wenger cannot afford to field the same team that played that game today.

I think he will have to do something a little bit different to give himself a chance

Matt Le Tissier on Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger

“I think it might be several players different,” he said on Sky Sports.

“Because I think that would have shattered his trust in some of his players, that Liverpool game.

“I think he will have to do something a little bit different to give himself a chance.

“Just for his own piece of mind really, I don’t think he can pick that same side again and sit on the bench with any confidence that the same result won’t happen again.

“So I think there will be several changes.”

It is impossible for Wenger to field the exact same Arsenal side, as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has now parted for Liverpool, started that day.

Summer-signings Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac did not start against Liverpool but are expected to be in the XI today vs Chelsea.

Wenger could be without Mesut Ozil due to injury.
