Man Utd News: Romelu Lukaku a worse finisher than Harry Kane, claims Michael Owen

MANCHESTER UNITED star Romelu Lukaku may win the golden boot this season but he’s not as good a finisher as Harry Kane, believes Michael Owen.

Lukaku scored his fourth goal of the season in Manchester United’s 2-2 draw at Stoke yesterday.

However, he missed a sitter with 10 minutes remaining, firing over an Anthony Martial cross.

Kane, meanwhile, bagged a double to bring up his 100th goal for Tottenham in the 3-0 win over Everton.

His second goal was similar to the effort Lukaku missed, with Kane side-footing a cross from the wing into the net.

And Owen believes the England striker has a better eye for goal than United’s £75million summer signing Lukaku.

On Kane’s goal he told BT Sport: “It's one of those that people look at and think it's a normal goal.

“Well, try doing it.

“Lukaku tried it and hit it over the bar.

“We were discussing about Rashford and Lukaku who were debating who was the best finisher (at United).

Lukaku and Rashford could be the next Yorke and Cole

“Lukaku is a decent finisher but I'd still say, even if he ends up with the golden boot, that there are better finishers in the Premier League than Lukaku and Kane is one of them.”

Kane had not scored for Spurs in August but is now off the mark with two goals, while Lukaku leads the scoring charts with four, ahead of Alvaro Morata, Danny Welbeck, Gabriel Jesus, Sadio Mane and Jamie Vardy (all 3).
