Leicester star Jamie Vardy open to move abroad: Come and get me

JAMIE VARDY last night sent out a ‘come and get me’ signal out to Europe’s big clubs as he revealed he has had talks with his agents over a move abroad as the next step in his meteoric career.

The England and Leicester striker was linked with Arsenal, Everton and Chelsea after his club’s astonishing Premier League title win in 2016, but none of those moves materialised.

But Atletico Madrid in Spain and Turkish giants Fenerbahce have also been interested in the 30-year-old, who signed a new £100,000-a-week four-year deal with Leicester in 2016 – and other big European sides have also been monitoring his situation at the King Power Stadium.

“I’ve spoken about it with my agent,” said Vardy.

“A move abroad, who knows? That would be something I’d probably like to experience, a different culture. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.”

Vardy, 30, joked: “I’m only 21 at heart, really. I’ve still got 14 years left. Who knows what can happen?

“Italy or Spain? Whichever one has the nicest food! No. Anything, really, just so I can get a different culture, a different experience. I’ve only ever been in England.”

Hardy joined the Foxes in 2012 from Fleetwood and has so far made 195 appearances.

He has also scored 68 goals and produced 40 assists.
