Philippe Coutinho: Liverpool star scores wondergoal for Brazil amid Barcelona links

PHILIPPE COUTINHO has put rumour surrounding his future at Liverpool behind him with a sensational goal for Brazil this evening.

Coutinho hasn't featured for Liverpool in any of their opening matches of the new season but he was deemed fit enough to feature for Brazil in their World Cup qualifier against Ecuador.

Coutinho wasn’t named in the starting line-up, along with fellow Liverpool star Roberto Firming.

But the Barcelona target came on midway through the second half and made an almost immediate impact.

Paulinho had given the Selecao the lead after stabbing home from inside six yards.

And with little over quarter of an hour remaining Coutinho had doubled Brazil’s lead after some delightful link-up play with Gabriel Jesus.
