Sky Sports reporter Vinny O'Connor says Liverpool could do four deals

The Reds are set to do wrap up the signing of Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Express Sport understands the clubs have agreed a deal that will see the England international move to Anfield.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, 24, had also been a target for Premier League champions Chelsea but it is believed Liverpool was always the player's preferred destination.

They are also in for Virgil van Dijk and could make another bid today.

A deal for Thomas Lemar remains a possibility while Divock Origi could be on his way out.

Sky Sports reporter Vinny O’Connor, speaking at the Liverpool training ground this morning, said: “We are expecting at least one deal to be announced today - that is the £35m signing of Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal.

“He had a medical last night at St George’s Park.

“We don’t expect personal terms to be a problem with a £120,000-a-week contract across five years agreed.

“They are in for Virgil van Dijk and it is possible that today is the day Virgil van Dijk is finally prised away from Southampton.

Philippe Coutinho could leave Liverpool today but three new faces could come in

“They’ve been in for him all summer and there’s been issues between the two clubs of course.

“Southampton refused to sell just like Liverpool did over Philippe Coutinho.

“We expect the future of both those players to be solved in the next day.

“Liverpool retain an interest in Thomas Lemar after they had a£55.5million bid rejected

“There was talk of Divock Origi going the other way on loan but he now looks more likely to go to Wolfsburg who are willing to pay a £6m loan fee.”
