Yazici has been linked with a move to the Premier League already after Liverpool and Everton apparently sent scouts to watch him last week.

The 20-year-old burst onto the scene following the injury to Mehmet Ekici last season and went onto score six goals and provide 10 assists in 22 Super Lig games.

He has since become a prized asset for Trabzonspor and his talents have earned himself the nickname of the ‘new Mesut Ozil’ by fans, report Turkish-Football.

And Turkish outlet Fotomac claim have now been alerted to his talents after sending chief scout Kevin Stonehouse to monitor him.

It is said Stonehouse was in attendance at Trabzonspor’s clash with rivals Fenerbahce on Saturday.

Yazici put in a classy performance and provided the assist for his side’s second goal of the night as they drew 2-2.

Fotomac say his performance impressed the United scout and he outlined that he was impressed with his “football intelligence”.

remains active in the transfer market and with Stonehouse set to come back with positive reports, the Portuguese boss could be tempted to go in for him.

However, they will face a battle to sign him him with club chairman Muharrem Usta making it clear that they have no intention of selling him this summer.

“I want to see Yusuf here for our 50th year anniversary squad,” Usta said.

“He will be sold when the time is right, Yusuf will be an ambassador for the club and reach the highest level.”

Yazici still has five years remaining on his current contract at the Senol Gunes Stadium.
