Chelsea star Marcos Alonso scored twice against Tottenham

Alonso opening the scoring with a superb free-kick and then bagged the winner late on after Spurs had levelled.

It takes the left wing-back’s club tally for 2017 to seven as Chelsea bounce back from their defeat to Burnley last week.

And Alonso was happy to boast about his goals haul to the cameras as he walked down the tunnel at Wembley.

He took a selfie holding up two fingers which Chelsea’s official twitter account posted soon after full time, with the caption ‘How many goals today, Marcos Alonso?’

Chelsea managed just two shots on target all game and just nine efforts overall.

That is compared to Tottenham, who peppered Thibaut Courtois’ goal with six on target and a further 12 going wide.

Spurs also dominated possession at Wembley but were caught out by Chelsea late on when Alonso latched onto a through-ball on the left to drive home the winner.
