Arsenal want to win title but Stoke defeat shows they won’t be champions - Martin Keown

ARSENAL legend Martin Keown says his former side did not look like champions during their 1-0 defeat to Stoke this evening.

Ozil ‘needs to have a good look at himself’ says Keown

Arsene Wenger’s side were beaten 1-0 by Stoke thanks to a debut goal for Jese Rodriguez early in the second half.

The Gunners have suffered from familiar problems at the back this season, especially in their 4-3 win over Leicester on the opening day.

Keown says aspirations of winning a first league title since 2004 do not look good for Arsenal.

“We spoke at half time how lose Arsenal were in the midfield particularly,” Keown said on BT Sport.

Arsenal have aspirations to win the league, they didn’t look like champions to me today

“They’ve just gone through the Arsenal defence so easily.

“They really didn’t create enough, not enough opportunities.

“They were unlucky with the goal that was not given for the offside, I thought maybe he would have been onside marginal.
