West Ham launch Moussa Dembele bid but Celtic striker prefers Monaco move

WEST HAM have launched a bid for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, according to reports in France.

Dembele uses incredible power to beat several PSG players

Dembele has scored 32 goals in 48 appearances for Celtic since joining from Fulham last year, but he could be on his way back to London this summer.

That is according to French outlet Le 10 Sport, who claim West Ham have made an offer for Dembele as Slaven Bilic looks to add more firepower to his frontline.

The Hammers have already brought in former Manchester United hitman Javier Hernandez and broke their transfer record to sign Marko Arnautovic from Stoke in a £24million deal.

And Celtic's Dembele is said to be next up on Bilic's wishlist.

But West Ham face stiff competition from Ligue 1 champions Monaco, who are preparing for life without teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe is reportedly heading to Paris Saint-Germain this summer - and Monaco consider Dembele as the ideal replacement.

Le 10 Sport add that Dembele, 21, would prefer a move to Monaco.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to keep the former PSG youngster at Parkhead but conceded earlier this summer that anything can happen in football.

Rodgers said last month: “Moussa is very content and happy. He looks very fit and hasn’t had a long lay-off. He is someone of great character.

“He is very stable, nothing affects him. Of course he is not a player we want to sell.

“Like all the players we want to keep him, but we know how football works and we will see what happens."
