Swansea v Man Utd: Paul Pogba should not have been sent off, says Thierry Henry

That is the opinion of pundit and former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry.

With the score at 0-0, Pogba was booked for a foul on Swansea's Tom Carroll in the 26th minute.

Just four minutes later the £89million man tripped left wing-back Martin Olsson, with Swans fans and players protesting he should have been given a second yellow.

Referee Jon Moss only gave Pogba a warning though, a decision Henry agreed with.

“That was unnecessary, I don’t know what he felt, he felt that he had to do it," Henry said on Sky Sports on the first foul on Carroll.

For me it is a foul, yes. I don’t think it’s anymore than that

"This is the one, three minutes or so after. For me it is a foul, yes.

"No I don’t think it’s anymore than that.

"The only thing, because it happens so close to the first one and the crowd was on him so you remember ‘why are you doing this?’.

"But you can clearly see that he was trying to get the ball.

"It is a bit late but I don’t think that was a second yellow in all fairness."

Manchester United took the lead at the Liberty Stadium, thanks to a close-range Eric Bailly goal just before the break.

Mourinho's men added three more in the final 10 minutes of the game, witn Pogba notching his second of the season.
