Antonio Conte doesn't trust Willian: Chelsea star fears he could be sold

WILLIAN is afraid he could be the next star Antonio Conte axes from his Chelsea regime.

Hazard interviews Willian in HILARIOUS post-match interview

Willian's team-mate Diego Costa has already received rough treatment from the Italian boss by being exiled from his plans.

Conte informed Costa via text that he would no longer be welcome at Stamford Bridge and the forward is now trying to force a move to Atletico Madrid.

And Willian fears he could be on the receiving end of the same treatment.

The Daily Mail claim Conte has trust issues with the Brazilian that has put him on edge over his future.

Willian was one of the standout performers during the 2015/16 campaign as Chelsea endured a disastrous defence of their Premier League title.

Willian is reportedly fearing for his Chelsea future under Antonio Conte

However, the 29-year-old featured less frequently last season in Conte's 3-4-3 formation.

Chelsea have let a host of players leave on loan during the transfer window and sold the likes of Nathaniel Chalobah, Nathan Ake and Nemanja Matic on permanent deals.

Willian has so far survived the cull, but with Conte targeting the likes of Torino's Andrea Belotti, Leicester's Danny Drinkwater and Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, the Brazil international fears he could be heading down a similar path, the Daily Mail claim.

The former Anzhi Makhachkala star recently admitted he had interest from Manchester United and Jose Mourinho was keen on a reunion at Old Trafford this summer.

Antonio Conte has been ruthless in his summer transfer dealings

But Willian insists he is happy in west London and willing to fight for his place.

He said: "There were a few conversations with my agent. I worked with Mourinho and I became his friend as well," Willian said.

"He likes me a lot and I like him a lot as a coach and as a person. He has put his trust in me and in my work, and I was very grateful to him.

"Manchester came to me, they talked with my agent, but nothing happened, because Chelsea would not negotiate me in any way and I’m very happy at Chelsea."
