Alexis Sanchez has worried Arsenal fans by deleting a tweet from Paris

Sanchez's Arsenal future is far from certain despite Arsene Wenger's insistence the Chilean will be staying at the Emirates.

The 28-year-old is in the final 12 months of his contract and wants to leave this summer with interest from Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City.

Sanchez has shown little inclination that will sign a new deal but Arsenal do appear ready to let him leave on a free transfer next summer.

But the Gunners star sparked fears he is on the verge of leaving when he replied to singer Richard Marx on Twitter saying: "I will take your word @RichardMarx and when you want we can play football at the Emirates Stadium."

However Sanchez's tweet shows he sent it from Paris, France.

Supporters quickly picked up on Sanchez's location and speculated what he could be doing but the Arsenal attacker quickly deleted the tweet and sent it again, this time without the location.

One person tweeted: "Of all the places to go in the world for 3 days and @Alexis_Sanchez goes to Paris...... believe it or not. More to it than just "holiday".

Another wrote: "You think it's a coincidence that he decides to go to Paris during the transfer window when he's been linked with PSG? LOL."

But others played down the fact that Sanchez was in Paris, one fan said: "He's on a weekend break like many other Arsenal players like Giroud, Xhaka and Sead. He's in Paris because his gf has a shoot there."
