Liverpool transfer news: Coutinho will join Barcelona if Klopp signings are made - Kelly

LIVERPOOL could sell Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona this summer - if they bring in Jurgen Klopp's top transfer targets.

Sublime assist shows why Barcelona want Liverpool's Coutinho

That's according to Liverpool fan Graeme Kelly, a social media in-the-know on transfer news with more than 65,000 Twitter followers.

Barca want Coutinho to replace Neymar, who joined PSG for a world-record fee of £200million yesterday.

The 25-year-old won seven major trophies in his four seasons at the Nou Camp but said he wanted to move on to experience a new challenge.

It's now anticipated that Barcelona will look to spend some of the huge cash on Coutinho.

Speaking on the Code Red podcast, Kelly said: "Everyone was seeing Coutinho as the eventual successor to Andres Iniesta, but now I think it's deemed he will be the successor to Neymar, which is strange.

"I thought he'd want to play with Neymar. Maybe the plans have come forward a year.

I did actually hear if Neymar does go, and we secure our targets, then Coutinho would go to Barcelona

"I did actually hear if Neymar does go, and we secure our targets, then Coutinho would go to Barcelona.

"But since Klopp has come out and it's a bit like the Red Bull situation.

"It's the undoable deal If we let him go now, we look like absolute d***heads. It's the same with Red Bull. If they let Naby Keita go now...

"The club are still confident on Keita but I just think it's farcical if they do let him leave the club. It's the exact [same] situation."
