Theo Walcott is reportedly wanted by Everton

Everton have been busy in the transfer market and have brought in six players already this summer.

The arrival of Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane and Davy Klaassen has contributed to a total spend in excess of £100million.

However, the Toffees are still lacking options in the wide areas following the long-term injury to Yannick Bolasie.

And according to The Mirror, Ronald Koeman is hoping to address the issue with a £30million move for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott.

The report says Everton had been hoping to complete a double deal for Walcott and Olivier Giroud.

However, the France striker now looks unlikely to join the Toffees and they have focused all their efforts on his Gunners team-mate.

Walcott's arrival is more pressing with Bolasie out until the end of the year with a knee injury.

And Koeman has reportedly also been in contact with Leicester for Demarai Gray as he desperately seeks a winger.

Everton should have no problem funding the move for Walcott with Ross Barkley expected to join Tottenham next week.

Speaking about Barkley's future at this week, Koeman said: "At the moment it is not a clear situation.

"He is not fit, that's the reason he didn't travel with the team.

“We will see when he is fit and back, but everybody knows his situation, and we will see what will happen.”
