Chelsea fight back for Liverpool draw, Man United edge Brighton, Spurs held

Willian netted a late equaliser as Chelsea came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Anfield.

Liverpool managed to find the breakthrough in the 65th minute when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain poked the ball into the path of ex-Chelsea man Mohamed Salah, who slotted calmly past Thibaut Courtois.

But Willian had the final say in the 85th minute, with what appeared to be a cross from the Brazil international looping over Simon Mignolet and into the back of the net.

The result sees Chelsea remain in third and Liverpool in fifth in the Premier League table.

Manchester United needed a Lewis Dunk own goal to seal a 1-0 victory over Brighton at Old Trafford, which closes the gap on league leaders Manchester City to five points.

United could have opened the scoring just before the break but Maty Ryan was on hand to deny them, making close-range saves to thwart both Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba.

But the hosts found a way through in the 66th minute when Ashley Young saw his effort from the edge of the box deflect off Dunk and beyond Ryan into the back of the net.

Harry Kane rescued a point for Tottenham as they came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw against managerless West Brom at Wembley.

West Brom stormed into the lead after just four minutes when former Spurs man Jake Livermore played in Salomon Rondon, who shook off Davinson Sanchez before placing the ball past Hugo Lloris.

But after bringing on Fernando Llorente for Jan Vertonghen in the second half, Tottenham eventually found the equaliser in the 74th minute as Kane prodded home Dele Alli's cross inside the six-yard box.

Watford eased to a 3-0 victory against Newcastle at St James' Park.

Watford broke the deadlock in the 19th minute through Will Hughes after he struck Marvin Zeegelaar's ball first time into the bottom corner for his second goal in two games.

The visitors then doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time thanks to an own goal from DeAndre Yedlin, who diverted Zeegelaar's cross into the back of his own net, before Andre Gray added a third on the hour-mark, converting Richarlison's cross at the far post.

Mamadou Sakho scored a last-minute winner as rock-bottom Crystal Palace came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory against Stoke at Selhurst Park.

Stoke managed the breakthrough shortly after the restart, with Xherdan Shaqiri beating two Palace defenders before gliding the ball home into the far corner, leaving Wayne Hennessey with no chance.

But Palace found the equaliser just a few minutes later, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek getting on the end of an Andros Townsend cross at the back post, before Sakho netted the decider in stoppage time with a close-range finish after Yohan Cabaye had hit the post.

Swansea and Bournemouth played out a 0-0 draw at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea did have the ball in the back of the net in the 45th minute following Wilfried Bony's strike into the top corner, but the goal was disallowed after Jordan Ayew was adjudged to have fouled Nathan Ake in the build-up.
