Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham is enjoying life at Swansea

The striker has had an incredible start to life at the Liberty Stadium, scoring five times in his first ten games, including a brace in yesterday’s 2-0 win over Huddersfield.

The loanee’s goals have propelled the Swans up to 13th in the Premier League and Britton can see a bright future ahead for the England under 21 international.

"It is difficult at Chelsea,” he said.

“We have seen a lot of players who have left and have had big careers elsewhere.

"But I don't see why Tammy can't make it there.

"The top teams always create a lot of chances and Tammy is a very good finisher. If you give him those chances, he will score the goals.

"He has come here to prove that he can do it in the Premier League with a team who are not the standard of Chelsea. If he does that, I don't see any reason why he can't go back to Chelsea, break through and have a long career there."

Arsenal legend Ian Wright is also a big fan of the youngster and suggested he would be a better option for Chelsea at the moment than Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi.

Abraham impressed last season as well, scoring 26 times on loan at Bristol City, and the 20-year-old has made the step up and proved he can cut it at the top level.

Swansea fans will be hoping he can continue his stunning form in their fight against relegation and skipper Britton has compared him to one of the league’s best ever finishers.

Leon Britton has only played four times for Swansea this season

He added: "Tammy reminds me of Jermain (Defoe) in terms of the hunger to score goals.

"Sometimes players don't want to do that, they will look to pass the ball. But Tammy just wants to get on the end of everything, he is very single-minded.

"Jermain has scored nearly 160 goals in the Premier League and Tammy can go on and have a great career like him."

Swansea host Leicester next weekend before a tough test against Manchester United in the EFL Cup.

Meanwhile, Abraham’s parent club Chelsea could do with him back at Stamford Bridge as they suffered their second loss in a row to struggling Crystal Palace yesterday.
