The 20-year-old has made one first-team appearance for the club since joining from Anderlecht in 2012.

Musonda found the net during the game, in which Chelsea beat Nottingham Forest 5-1 in this year's Carabao Cup.

The Blues have a poor record of blooding youngsters into the first-team and currently have a plethora of young talent out on loan at various clubs around Europe.

And the lack of opportunities in the senior side seem to be affecting Musonda, who took to Instagram to expression his frustration.

The Belgian posted a photo of a blank screen and wrote: "You sacrifice, you work hard, harder, you give more than what's expected, and often more than you can, because you love what you do and clearly more than you should.

"And what do you get back? Literally nothing... done.

"However, with this being said I will continue with same dedication and commitment to this great game."

Chelsea fans bombarded the comments section of the post, pleading with the club's official account not to let Musonda end up being another talent they end up selling.

The picture was also commented on by Musonda's brother Lamisha, who nows plays for Mechelen having previously been a youth product at Stamford Bridge.

He wrote: "It's starting to look like they wouldn't know what they have if they had Ronaldo or Messi coming of the academy. smh (shaking my head)."

Lamisha deleted his comment soon after.

The former Real Betis loanee spoke about the club in a very different tone after making his debut earlier this year.

After his debut goal, Musonda admitted: "It was an emotional moment, I can't even remember it."

"I was in tears to be honest. If the lads didn't come and get me I don't know what would have happened.

"The fans were great today. They gave me a big lift and they were amazing."
