Everton will not return with a fresh bid for Gunners striker Olivier Giroud.

The Toffees were interested in the Frenchman during the summer window but the forward opted to stay at the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger has failed to give Giroud regular minutes this season, meaning he may be inclined to push for a move in January.

But Starsport understands Everton will not look to revive their interest in the 30-year-old.

Ronald Koeman's side have struggled so far this season and are crying out for a striker to bolster their attacking options.

Arsenal have no chance of keeping Alexis Sanchez.

That is the verdict of pundit and former Liverpool striker Michael Owen.

Sanchez's Arsenal deal expires in 2018 and the Chilean has made no secret he wishes to leave the club.

And Owen believes there is nothing Wenger can do to persuade the forward to stay.

He said: “If he’s in football and interested in securing himself for the rest of his life financially, he’ll leave.

“If he’s interested in winning medals, then he’ll leave. There’s no way possible that he can stay in my eyes.”

Sanchez has struggled with injuries so far this season, only making a handful of appearances for the Gunners.

Alexandre Lacazette is surprised by the refereeing in England and claims it is dangerous.

The Frenchman made the switch to the Premier League over the summer in a £52m deal.

Boss Wenger recently told Lazacette he needs to toughen up if he is to be a success in England.

And it is clear he is trying to adapt, despite his reservations about the refereeing.

"I am watching quite a few matches to understand English football, I am watching quite a lot of my matches with Arsenal and when I look back and see what I didn’t do right, I try to learn from it," Lacazette told SFR Sport.

"Which hopefully facilitates my progression.

"The refereeing decisions [still surprise me].

"Sometimes I think it is a bit dangerous."
